Michael's Bio
Michael is Retro's guitarist and vocalist. Ever since he was a baby, he played the guitar! Instead of carrying around a favorite blanket, he always held his twelve inch plastic guitar, given to him from his grandma! (see photo at side) Now, at the age of 14, Michael's favorite hobbies include collecting music memoribilia, collecting LPs, making movies, and playing and collecting guitars! He also plays the bass, piano, mandolin, and the drums! School is very important to him, and he is very proud of getting straight A's! Michael loves playing the guitar in front of live audiences, as well as doing studio work. Jimmy is Retro's drummer and is 14 years old in the 8th grade. He likes to play video games. He started playing drums five years ago when he got a set of electric drums for Christmas. He takes drum lessons once a week and practices three times a week! Jimmy's mom is a teacher, his dad is an electrical engineer, and he has two sisters.. He has grown up with music all around him. For example, his dad played in rock bands for many years and has many instruments and a lot of recording equipment. Even before Jimmy was born, he loved rock n roll! When his mom was pregnant with him, she used to listen to his dad's band. Jimmy would jump all around in her belly when the band played! Hunter is the bass player in Retro and is 14 years old. His favorite kind of music is R&B, hip hop, and classic rock. His favorite sports are basketball, wrestling, and he loves soccer. He has two dogs named Mika and Buffy, and he is planning to get a lizard! "The Longest Yard" is Hunter's favorite movie! His favorite television shows include "Lost", "Little People, Big World", and he loves the WWE. Hunter has one sister and a big brother. When he grows up, he wants to be a professional bass player. He loves to ride his bike on ramps and rollerblading. Sometimes he goes rock climbing and even gets crazy while doing it! Hunter said, "I love the band, Retro, because we are all best friends!" He really loves the bass guitar because he likes the sound that it makes.
